The indicator is composed of several series: - Proportion of women in parliament relative to the proportion of women in the population: Ratio of the proportion of women in the regional parliament relative to the proportion of women in the population aged 16 to 64 - Proportion of women in public administration relative to the proportion of women in the population: Ratio of the proportion of women in the public sector to the proportion of women in the population aged 16 to 64, by public institution - Proportion of women in the judiciary relative to the proportion of women in the population: Ratio of the proportion of women among active judges and magistrates relative to the proportion of women in the population aged 16 to 64 |

The reference value of this indicator is 1, which means the representation of women in the institution analyzed is perfectly proportional to their presence in the population between 16 and 64 years old. If the indicator takes a value less than 1 it means that women are underrepresented, while if it takes a value greater than 1 it means that they are overrepresented. |
